About

Tails and Trails is an annual Pet Fun Run hosted by the Billings Jaycees.  We hosted our first run in 2013. 

This event creates an opportunity for pets and their owners to meet at Zoo Montana to walk or run in either a 2 Mile or 5K Pet Fun Run.

We invite everyone to the pre and post race festivities. The parking lot is filled with local pet vendors, pet demonstrations and fund recipients.

Where do the proceeds go?

Tails & Trails has helped to support local pet friendly organizations as well as make pet focused improvements at Lake Elmo State Park.

Save the date for eighth annual Tails and Trails Fun Run to start at Zoo Montana and go towards the Shiloh Conservation Area on Saturday, August 14, 2021. This fun run/walk/crawl is held to help support our animal community. Previous recipients have been: Rimrock Humane Society, Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, Billings Animal Rescue Kare, Rez Dog Rescue, and Dog Tag Buddies.

We are determined to bring attention to our furry population awaiting adoption, while getting animal lovers active, some even with their pets. In the past, we have donated over $11,00.00 to our local shelters! The success of our event is only as meaningful as our sponsors and donors. We appreciate you and/or your local business providing support and please remember that the Billings Jaycees does not keep any of the funds raised. 100% goes back to our community in support of our furry friends.
